The Lyons Main Street Program has announced their 2022 Lyons Citizen of the Year.
The 2022 recipient is Alicia Linzy, an Art teacher at Lyons Central School District, long time Lyons resident and community volunteer/leader.
Alicia has been a member of the Lyons Community Center Board for 1o years. She has served on the Pumpkinpalooza Committee as a member for 10 years and took over the event in 2016.
She was on the Lyons Main Street Program Board for close to 8 Years, and served on Lyons Wayne County Council for the Arts for over 10 years, including serving as President for the last 4 years.
Alicia was a Boy Scouts Assistant Scoutmaster for 11 years, and ran the Lyons Enrichment After School Program for 15 years. She is an Elks Lodge member and currently serves on the Wayne County Bicenntenial Committee as a Lyons Representative.
Ms. Linzy started a successful business (Ms. Linzy’s Mac & Cheese) in 2016.
The 2022 Lyons Citizen of the Year Dinner honoring Alicia Linzy will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023 at 5:00 pm at Trom’s, 11 Pearl Street, Lyons. Cocktail hour will begin at 5 pm with dinner at 6:30 pm and The Citizen of the Year presentation following dinner. Tickets are $50 per person. Price includes choice of entree,
