Macedon Town meeting 1/23/23

Supervisor Kim Leonard opened the Town of Macedon Regular Board meeting which was held at the Macedon Town Complex. All Board members were in attendance.  The minutes from the February 9, 2023 Regular meeting were approved in addition to the January 2023 Town Clerk’s Report.

The Board resolved to appoint part-time EMT’s Colin Bucci, EMT Advanced, at a rate of $24/hour and Samantha Carpino-Miller, ALS, at a rate of $30/hour to replace current part-time ambulance personnel out on indefinite leave. 

The Town Supervisor was authorized to sign the Ontario/Wayne Stormwater Coalition Inter Municipal Agreement for 2023 through 2028 for shared services as reviewed and approved by the Town attorney.

Christopher Tyndell and Nash Ritz were both sworn in as Police Officers and will be attending the March 20 Academy.

Newly appointed Recreation Director Dale Budziszewski gave the Board an update on activities he has been working on. There will be an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the Macedon Town Complex. Spring Soccer registration will be open soon. The Town Board of the Town of Macedon approved the application for the Walmart grant on behalf of the Police Department for bulletproof vests.

Superintendent Chris Countryman advised the Board he had obtained quotes for a generator at the Public Safety Building he was presenting to the Board. 

Resident Jim Byron addressed the Board with a question regarding the generators for the Public Safety Building. He wanted to know if there is an infrastructure issue that is responsible for the outages recently.

The bills were paid as audited.   The Board adjourned at 7:59 PM.
