The undeniable

November 17, 2024
/ by WayneTimes.com

I don’t give a damn, if you are Jewish, Christian, Muslim, or whatever, the senseless killing of tens of thousands of innocents is beyond comprehension.

The latest reports of bombings in both Gaza and Lebanon cannot be justified by claiming enemies are hiding under, beside, or on top of civilian populations.

The latest reports point out that about 70% of casualties in these areas are women and children.

Meanwhile Israeli politicians and the media headline yet another enemy leader/planner has been killed in a specific bombing. Oh, sure, there were civilian deaths, but the rights justify the means, right?

During WWII allied bombers did everything they could to ensure that targets near known prisoner and concentration camps were avoided.

We were not as careful when it came to civilian populations in carpet bombing (and Dresden) and city-wiping atomic bombs (Nagasaki and Hiroshima), but somehow we justified such bombings as "necessary".

You probably do not think that a Palestinian baby has the same relevance of love and desire to  live as one of us, but let me assure you they love, laugh, cry, die the same.

Now, Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu, is smiling from ear to ear knowing he will not have to endure any skepticism from those liberal Biden/Democrat factions that at least questioned what the Israelis were doing with the ammunition we supplied.

Trump will undoubtedly give his and the Republicans’ full blessing to do what is necessary to ensure the Palestinian "problem" is controlled.

The Israeli leaders refuse to pinpoint no-bomb and rocket attacks by ground forces, since this would cost too many  Israeli soldier deaths.

I have described in past columns how the decisions by Allied forces after WWII set up a disastrous future for the Middle East, and why over 70 years later, we have learned nothing about humanity when it is convenience to us.

Unfortunately for the Palestinians, Israeli  leaders are already suggesting, with Trump’s victory, the annexation of swaths of the West Bank, meaning more and more people will be forced to flee, migrate, or become more radicalized to Israeli desires.

Trump is elevating a fierce critic of the U.N. as his emissary to the world body, NY House representative Elise Stefanik — the latest sign that he plans to make good on pledges to strongly support Israel on the world stage and play hardball with international organizations and alliances. On the campaign trail, Donald Trump promised to crack down on Palestinian protestors and deport foreign students who participate.

Terrorism only promotes terrorism and the fight will go on seemingly forever.

As I mentioned in last week’s column, ironically written at 4:20 a.m.  on Wednesday (11/6), the warnings are coming to fruition. The upcoming Trump administration has already indicated that mass deportations will take place, regardless of costs.

Plans have been announced that regulations on banking Wall Street and  business mergers are already in the mix, with several prominent bankers on the cabinet list. Expect the national debt to go ballistic as Trump’s tax cuts, mainly for business, will be renewed.

I am totally in favor of a more balanced national debt, but it will be very interesting to see how and what a balanced budget under the next four years will yield, especially with all the tax cuts already being planned.

All the cases against Trump, including convictions will disappear. January 6th will become a "Love Fest", and Ukrainian and Palestinian people will become little more than sidelines. It has already been circulated that on day one of the Trump administration the pardon wheel will be in full swing.

Another casualty waiting in the world stage will be Taiwan. I sincerely doubt Trump’s "America First" policies will prevent China from advancing their goals to take over the region and beyond. American influence in the Pacific region is bound to wane.

Donald Trump has said he wouldn’t be a dictator — “except for Day 1.” According to his own statements, he’s got a lot to do on that first day in the White House.

His list includes starting up the mass deportation of migrants, rolling back Biden administration policies on education, reshaping the federal government by firing potentially thousands of federal employees he believes are secretly working against him, and pardoning people who were arrested for their role in the riot at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

“I want to close the border, and I want to drill, drill, drill,” he said of his Day 1 plans.

On top of that, plans are already underway to gut environmental laws and standards. Climate Change will be considered little more than an inconvenience caused by a number natural changing factors.

Watch how storms, fires, droughts and extreme flooding are addressed.

With planned environmental cuts,   homeowner insurance will skyrocket as companies will balk at covering millions of homeowners. Housing values in such areas will drop like a rock, leaving homeowners in a lurch.

As I have mentioned before, the last four years of a shaky economy did not just sneak up for the Biden administration. It began before the Dems even took office and it was a worldwide undertaking, the current administration harnessed and was stabilizing  the conditions, something the rest of the world is still dealing with.

Trump said Tom Homan, his former acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement director, will serve as "border czar" in his incoming administration, adding that he will be "in charge of all Deportation of Illegal Aliens back to their Country of Origin."

To your health ...

During his last time in office, Trump botched the pandemic response, he spread misinformation everywhere, he contributed to restricting access to reproductive health care, he tried to repeal [the Affordable Care Act].

Republican ideas of a new and better health plan for poorer social levels never materialized during his 2106-2020 reign and I see what was once called "Obama Care" allowed to die on the vine.

Hopefully, with the knowledge of past failures, Trump will surround himself with smarter people and appoint someone with a better record for health care and costs, BUT Robert Kennedy Jr. has been put forward as Health &  Human Services Secretary,  waiting to influence his off-the-wall ideas.

Republicans have learned the reversing of Roe vs. Wade on abortion did not sway most states from enacting their own abortion protections. Actually, according to statistics, (And we all love statistics) abortions seemed to increase, along with some reported deaths due to archaic state regulations.

Real people votes,, since the Supreme Court decision showed abortion protection measures were on the ballot in 10 states, and of them, seven states voted to support them. a black eye for the Republican cause.

Remember that 2025 document, formulated by the Heritage Foundation and Trump advocates that Trump said he had no knowledge of before winning the White House? Well, they have magically appeared again and are being circulated with much buzz.

I am all for changes and am optimistically open, but fear it will be the same old politics. With the last of the votes now being tallied, it appears Republicans and Trump will have the perfect trifecta to control the Senate, House and the White House. Watch as rules change and our democracy takes on a whole new, scary look.

Trump is demanding that lawmakers let him install nominees, without requiring Senate approval. It’s part of his plan for a more powerful presidency.

In Analysis by Aaron Blake, the Washington Post columnist wrote:

"Donald Trump has been president before. But all indications are that we should expect an even bolder Trump — or more extreme, depending on your point of view — in a second term.

Gone will be the many establishment-oriented administration officials who served as checks on him and have since criticized him. Republicans will most likely control both chambers of Congress, with GOP contingents more Trump-y than before. The Supreme Court recently gave presidents a substantial degree of criminal immunity, which will insulate a president who has been convicted of felonies and charged with others. And Trump as a term-limited president will no longer be burdened with reelection concerns."

Okay Trump, now it’s your turn. Prove me wrong.
