Three students from Lyons Elementary School recently competed in the District Soccer Shoot Out competition sponsored by the New York State Elks Association. Participating as representatives from Lyons Elks Lodge #869 were elementary students, Jenna Stone, Alison Cook, and Erin Mammano. Jenna Stone is a fourth grade student with Mr. Percy. Alison Cook and Erin Mammano are both sixth grade students of Mrs. Cook. At the end of the competition, it was announced that students Cook and Mammano finished in 2nd place for the respective age groups and that Jenna Stone captured 1st place for her age group. Stone will now advance to the Regional competition hosted by Corning Elks Lodge.
