Every year, the Phillips/Edmondson family of Red Creek, likes to choose someone to bless during Christmas.
This year, the kids decided on Golisano Children’s Hospital in Rochester. They are partnering with a local gym in Rochester, The Training Grounds.
They are proud that, even during this pressing, hard time, Politics and Covid were put aside to remember it is better to give than receive.
The Golisano Children’s Hospital is very close to the family’s hearts as they have spent the last 15 years in and out with Adisons’ disability, with his sister, Reagan right beside him to cheer him on. Adison has Diplegic Cerebral Palsy. For his unforeseen hospital visits with seizures, tests, procedures and surgeries on top of the 9 specialists he sees, the Phillips/Edmondson family is reminded to be thankful to give back to those who are always there for them.
Christine Edmondson and her kids promoted daily, on social media, photos of Adison’s long stays at the hospital and how a toy would light up his long lonely days.
Through this goal via social media and the children asking their family/friends/classmates and teachers, the project has already received 263 toys within 29 days!
The stories they told of other people’s journeys as well, highlighted why this family donated and or how it became a family affair.
The hope to “ring the bell for all to hear”, that giving never stops and regardless of life affairs someone out there needs you still - don’t give up! That is Adison’s Motto, “Never give up”.
