Walworth Recreation and Friends of the Walworth Parks have a holiday challenge for Walworth organizations/businesses and neighborhoods.

They are hosting their 1st Annual Christmas Tree Decorating Contest in Ginegaw Park. The Friends of the Walworth Parks will supply groups with a live tree and electricity; then let them pick the theme and decorate it.

On Friday, December 6 from 6:00 -8:00 pm, the 1st Annual “Light the Night” at Ginegaw Park will be kicked off. The community will be able to stroll through the decorated trees and vote for their favorite. Activities for this free evening will include hot chocolate and cookies, roasting marshmallows, caroling, sleigh ride through the park, craft, and more. If you look real close, you might see Santa wandering through the park. Hot dogs will be available for purchase.
