UR Medicine’s Thompson Health will host a community open house on Saturday, March 12, to celebrate the opening of Newark Urgent Care.
The open house, which will run from 5 to 7 p.m., will include refreshments, giveaways and prizes including summer concert tickets donated by Entercom Marketing.

With X-ray services and a lab draw station on site, Newark Urgent Care is located in the Newark plaza at 800 W. Miller St. in Newark. It is set to open to patients on Monday, March 7. Thompson has an additional Urgent Care Center at 1160 Corporate Drive in Farmington.

Hours for Newark Urgent Care will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

X-ray hours will mirror those of urgent care but you do not have to be a patient of urgent care in order to use this service. Lab draw station hours will be 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and 7 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturdays. Again, you do not need to be a patient of urgent care to use the draw station.
