State Police Investigators out of Waterloo reported the arrest on Friday (3/30) of Nathan E. Cornish, age 25, of 4700 Route 414 in North Rose.
It is alleged that while working as an employee at Talmadge Tire on Route 318 in the Town of Junius, Cornish began stealing large refurbished and new truck tire rims, taking them down of Empire Scrap Metals in Seneca Falls and selling them for scrap.
An anonymous male caller called Talmadge Tire to tell them of the thefts stating “He (Cornish) did me wrong, now I got him back.”
Surveillance video showed that Cornish, who had worked at the Company for a month and a half, stole 39 rims valued at $150+ each for a total of $6900 in losses for the Company. He reportedly sold the rims for $20 each.
Cornish was charged with Grand larceny in the Third Degree, arraigned and remanded to jail on $500 cash/$1000 bond.
