State Police Investigators out of Lyons responded to a report of a man slashing a girlfriend with a knife just after midnight on Tuesday (10/20).

It is alleged that Anthony J. Tandle, age 34, of 204 Canal Street in Lyons became upset and got in to a physical altercation, pulled a knife and cut the woman in the hand. He then fled the Broad Street residence and was arrested a short time later. The victim refused medical treatment at the scene of the crime.

Tandle was charged with Assault in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree.

Due to his prior criminal history, Tandle was remanded to jail on No Bail, pending a Town of Lyons Court appearance.
