On Monday (9/2) at 2:49 p.m. State Troopers out of Lyons observed a Jeep swerving on  Hyde Parkway and Route 31 in Palmyra and driving on the shoulder of the road.

The vehicle was stopped and the driver, Stephen A. Ross, age 49, of 70 Olympus Drive in Macedon became irate and  refused to exit the vehicle and reportedly attempted to open the door where a barking dog was in the vehicle.

He was subsequently taken into custody and charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree; Resisting Arrest; Menacing With a Weapon in the Second Degree; (dog); DWI and Refusal to Submit to a Breath Test.

Ross was released to a sober third party to appear in Macedon Court.
