Following an investigation, Wayne County Sheriff’s Investigators reported the arrest on Tuesday (12/9) at 3:13 p.m. of Susan E. McConnell, age 64, of 844 Route 31 in the Town of Macedon.
It is alleged that McConnell stole and forged checks from her mother’s account over the period of September 2022 through April of 2025 for a total amount of $43,745.
She was subsequently charged with Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, Identity Theft in the First Degree and eight counts of Forgery in the Second Degree.
Connell would take her mother’s checks without her mother’s knowledge, she would then forge her mother’s name and write the checks out to herself. McConnell would then cash checks and this continued for years without her mother’s knowledge.
She was taken to the Wayne County Jail for CAP Court arraignment and remanded on bail to initially appear in Macedon Town Court scheduled for December 12th.
