Marion woman charged in theft of $71,726 from cousin’s business

On Thursday (12/08), State Police in Lyons arrested Michelle M. Hollingsworth, age 65, of 4735 Farnsworth Road, Marion, for Grand Larceny in the Second Degree in the Village of Palmyra. Hollingsworth was additionally charged with 21 counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the second degree in the Town of Macedon.
Hollingsworth stole an estimated $71,726. from her employer, Lor-Co Inc., belonging to her cousin, Lori Cleveland, located at 505 West Main Street in Palmyra, from April of 2016 to November of 2016. Hollingsworth was observed on video at least 21 times cashing forged checks at the Reliant Credit Union in Macedon.
Hollingsworth was arraigned in the Village of Palmyra Court in front of Village Justice Terry Rodman. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to return to the Village of Palmyra Court in January of 2017. State Police were assisted by the Village of Palmyra Police Department. Sources indicated Hollingsworth has a gambling addiction.
