Newark Village Police reported stopping a vehicle on Driving Park Circle for Unsafe Turn and Failure to Signal at 9:15 p.m. on Saturday (11/11).
The driver, Torey Mathis, age 48, of 806 Church Street in Newark was subsequently arrested for DWI/BAC, Aggravated DWI Lendra’s Law and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, after a two year-old child was found in the front seat of the vehicle without a child seat.
Mathis was arraigned in Newark Court and remanded to jail on $1000 cash/$2000 bond to reappear in Newark Village Court.
