The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest on Thursday (8/22) 3 p.m. of a Village of Newark man following an investigation into an Aggravated Harassment in the Town of Walworth.

William P. Cook, age 32, of Obrien Road in the Village of Newark  was charged with Aggravated Harassment 2nd. The charges stem from a phone call and it is alleged that Cook called Wayne County Water and Sewer Authority after becoming irate over the Village of Newark shutting off water to his residence. 

During the phone call Cook stated that he would kill employees of Wayne County Water and Sewer Authority along with multiple other threats over the duration of the call. 

Cook was released on an appearance ticket and is due to appear in the Town of Walworth Court on August 28th at 0900. Deputies were assisted with the investigation by Newark PD.
