The Macedon Police Department reported the arrest of Cynthia A. Derrick, age 52, of Bear Hill Road in Palmyra, following an investigation into a motor vehicle collision on November 8th, at around 3:19 p.m.
Officers responded to the area of Macedon Center Road and Walworth Road in the Town of Macedon for a one vehicle rollover with entrapment. The investigation showed that Cynthia was operating her vehicle east bound on Macedon Center Road and lost control of the vehicle resulting in the vehicle leaving the roadway, striking a utility pole, and rolling over.
While on scene, Officers identified that the defendant was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage, was operating while license suspended due to no insurance being in effect as well as located open containers within the vehicle.
Due to injury, Cynthia was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital where a blood draw was administered; later through lab results yielding a .32% BAC.
On Friday, November 29th, at 3:24 p.m, Cynthia was located at her residence and taken into custody. She was transported to the Macedon Police Department for processing and charged with DWI; Aggravated DWI: Aggravated Unlicensed Operator in the Third Degree; Open Container Within a Motor Vehicle-Alcohol, Suspended Registration, and Insurance Not in Effect.
Cynthia was released on appearance tickets for Macedon Town Court on December 10th.
