On Thursday (9/26) New York State Parole was attempting an arrest warrant for Michael Wade, 42, of 4391 Wolcott Spring Lake Road, in the Town of Butler.
Mr. Wade allegedly refused to cooperate and barricaded himself in the residence. He threatened to shoot the officers on scene. Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to assist. Area roads were shut down, and negotiations began. With the assistance of the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team, and the Ontario County Swat Team, Mr. Wade was taken into custody, at about 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday. He is being held at the County Jail to await his appearance on the Parole Charges, and additional charges are pending further investigation.
While assisting Wayne County Deputies, Ontario County Deputies determined that a female was in the same residence as their suspect.
Through investigation, when the female exited the residence, she was identified as Jamie Evelise Thompson, age 30, of Hoffman Avenue in Geneva.
It was revealed Ms. Thompson had an active warrant for her arrest out of the Town of Hopewell, Ontario County, for Tampering With Physical Evidence and was subsequently taken into custody on said warrant.
Thompson was transported to Ontario County Jail to be held. She will appear in the Town of Hopewell Court at a later date to answer her charges.
