Celebrating his second term as Wayne County Sheriff, Rob Milby invited his son Kyle to hold the bible for him while he took the Oath of Office on Thursday, December 31, 2025.
Sheriff Milby spoke to the crowd of well-wishers at the event. “Five years ago-many of you did not know me. I was a Deputy Sheriff running for election, and I had big shoes to fill. I had some pretty heavy hitters that supported me, like Barry Virts, Dick Pisciotti, Jim Hurley, Jim Hoffman, MaryAnne Nicosia, Mike Garlock, and the list goes on…. but in what started out as a 3-way contested race, you had faith in me and you decided that I should be the next Sheriff and it was the most humbling experience of my life. And I now stand before you as I enter a second term, honored to be sworn in again…. privileged to have been given the opportunity to continue the work that we began 4 years ago…. a fast 4 years.”
“I am excited and committed to 4 more years-with the pedal to the floor, just like the first 4," said the Sheriff. BELOW: Wayne County Deputies and Administration showed up en masse for their leader, as he continues to serve the County alongside them all.
