Newark Village Police responded to a suspicious vehicle that had been in a Marie Avenue parking lot, running, for about 30 minutes on Saturday (2/18) at 5:40 a.m.

Police found the driver asleep, with a cell phone, glass pipe and money on his lap, with a passenger listening to the radio and scrolling on his cell phone. Police awoke the driver, Scott Tuper Jr., age 25, of 108 East Maple Avenue , Apt. 3 in Newark.

Police seized a total of 26.7 grams of a white chunky substance that tested positive as crack cocaine, valued at $2600.
