State Police out of Lyons reported the arrest on Friday (10/4) at 3:15 p.m. of David Kovacs, age 51, of Hidden Valley Road in the Town of Spencerport for Felony Grand Larceny in the Third Degree.

It is alleged that on August 29th,  Kovacs entered the Macedon Lowes at 1605 Route 31 and  purchased $3341.34 worth of tools. He then proceeded to renter the store and with the  original receipt in hand, stole the same tools. He then returned the original purchase for a refund.

The incident was caught on surveillance video. He turned himself in after a warrant for his arrest was issued and was taken to the Wayne County Jail for CAP Court arraignment and released to initially appear in Macedon Court.
