
The Wayne County Office of the Sheriff reported the arrest on Monday (10/8) of Walter D. Clark, age 38, of State Route 104 A, Town of Wolcott, for physically assaulting a female he was in a relationship with.
It is alleged that on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at around 1:39 am, Clark pushed, slammed to the ground, dragged and punched about the face and body of the female victim.
It was reported to 911 that a female could be heard screaming for help around the 6900 block of Main Street in Red Creek.
Upon the arrival of a Wayne County Deputy Sheriff Sergeant, Clark could be seen hovering over the female victim. Clark ran from the scene and the Sheriff’s Sergeant began to render aid to the severely injured victim.
The victim sustained fractures to her face and ribs, a collapsed lung and several lacerations that required stitches. She also had several abrasions and contusions. The victim was hospitalized and is currently undergoing treatment for the above listed injuries.
Clark turned himself in to the police today, where he was arrested and brought in front of the Town of Wolcott Court. He was charged with Assault in the 2nd Degree, a Felony, and remanded to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Jail pending the posting of $15,000 cash/$30,000 bond.
Clark was served an Order of Protection in court, and was given a future court date to answer to the charge.
