Macedon Police responded to the Cedar Creek Liquor Store at 515 Sampson Drive in Macedon for a report of a vehicle hitting the front of the store on Tuesday (6/14) at 3:30 p.m.

According to police, Elizabeth Miller, age 52, of Woodhill in Newark said her foot slipped off the pedal and the car lunged forward.

Miller was subsequently arrested for Driving While Intoxicated with a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit at .16%.

There was minor damage to the front of the store’s window frame. Miller told police emphatically that “I do not want my picture in Holdraker’s (the newspaper’s owner) rag paper.” Following the accident she reportedly asked her boyfriend not to forget to buy a box of wine while they were at the liquor store.
