A Guide to Voting in Wayne County

Taking a look at how voting trends have changed since the last Presidential Election (2020), Wayne County registrations are up. 

The total enrollment for 2020 showed 55,582 enrolled voters overall, while in 2024, we now have 59,936 eligible voters. Party registrations have shown some changes in 4 years. 

While the enrollments for the Democrats are up slightly from 13,794 to 13,912, there has been a rise in Republicans locally. In 2020 Republican numbers tallied 22,554, an are now up for 2024 to 24,743. The big change seems to be in the “No Party” affiliation line. While 2020 listed 14,255 NOP enrollments, this year there are 16,725.  Conservative registrations are up from 1516 to 1677 and “Others” are down from 3215 to 2879.

Before Election Day, November 5, 2024, all voters in Wayne County may need answers. Here are details to help you weave your way through it all.

To check your registration go to: voterlookup.elections.ny.gov

 As always, voters may vote in person on Election Day, November 5th, from 6am to 9pm.   The Board of Elections will have be able to tell you your District, and your polling place. (315-946-7400)

There is also the option for Absentee Ballots (Deadline for request for Absentee ballot is October 26th if mailed, or in person request by November 4.) Absentee Ballots Return must be postmarked or returned in person by November 5, 2024. Postmarked ballots must arrive at your County Board of Elections by November 12, 2024.  

Early Voting begins October 26 until November 3, 2024. The two sites for early voting are: the Board of Elections, Public Safety Building, 7376 State Route 31, Lyons, NY  and the second site is at the Ontario Town Hall, 1850 Ridge Road Ontario, NY.
