BREAKING: Town of Ontario Supervisor steps down just three days after taking office
The Town of Ontario’s newly elected and sworn-in Supervisor, Joseph Molino, has resigned effective immediately from the position.
No reason has yet been given for Molino’s resignation and the Town Board has called an immediate emergency meeting in order to address how to move forward.
Readers will recall Molino received 46 absentee votes to Incumbent Republican John Smith’s 33. The two had tied in balloting on election night, each receiving 1227 votes. Molino had previously served as Ontario Town Supervisor from 2004 to 2007
