On Wednesday (9/2) at 1:56 p.m. State Police Investigators, as part of an ongoing investigation involving both Monroe and Wayne County, reported the arrest of Zachary Weber, age 49, of 231 Barrington Street in Rochester.
The investigation, which began last year, involved embezzled money from both Sodus and North Rose School Districts.
A judge awarded the Sodus School District $725,000 and North Rose District nearly $196,00 against Health Economics Partners and business owner Zachary Weber. The company had been responsible for handling dental benefits funded by school employees, but providers and staffing agencies said checks stopped arriving and some bounced.
Weber was charged with two counts of Grand Larceny in the Second Degree in Wayne County. He is scheduled to appear in Town of Sodus Court on Tuesday, September 8th and Town of Rose Court on September 14th.
For both cases, Weber was released on his own recognizance.
