Pedro Colon Sentenced on Homicide
This morning (11/9) Wayne County Judge John Nesbitt sentenced Pedro Colon to 1 & 1/3 to 4 years on the E felony Criminal Negligent Homicide consecutive to a term of 2 & 1/3 to 7 years for the D felony Criminal Possession of a weapon 3rd, for a total of 3 & 2/3 to 11 years in prison.
“At the sentencing, the defendant displayed what I would describe as a lack of any true remorse, in that, while he said he was sorry that the victim was dead, he again tried to blame the victim for what happened,” said Wayne County District Attorney Chris Bokelman. “I am glad that the Court agreed with the People’s arguments and our recommendation and appropriately imposed the maximum possible sentence,” he added.
On September 2, 2016, at 10:45 p.m. at the boarding house at 14 Franklin Street in Lyons, Colon stabbed Hector Marquez.
