On Tuesday, November 16, around 9:15 a.m. an individual dressed in black entered the Community Bank, 100 Church Street in Newark approached bank tellers and immediately demanded cash.

Upon receiving an undetermined amount of cash, the individual left the bank running eastbound on Church Street behind Newark Park Presbyterian Church.

The individual was seen entering a light colored SUV type vehicle and leaving the area southbound on East Avenue. The individual is described as a male, 5’8” to 5’10”.

Assisting in the investigation are the Wayne County Office of Sheriff, Wayne County District Attorney and New York State Police.
