New York State Police Troopers and Investigators out of Wolcott responded to the area of Ingersoll Drive on Thursday (5/12) after fishermen saw something suspicious by a fallen tree and reported finding a body along the shoreline.
According to the lead investigator the partially clothed body, with no identification, is more likely to be male, but that will be confirmed once the autopsy at the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office is completed.
The investigation also reported the body has been in the water and on the shoreline for a very extended time.
State Police are asking the public for help in identifying a body. Troopers ask that anyone with information call 585-398-4100.
