The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reported a two motor vehicle collision on State Route 104 in the Town of Ontario late Saturday (8/10) at 11:43 p.m. that resulted in a fatality.
Deputies conducted an investigation into the collision involving a passenger vehicle and motorcycle.
The passenger vehicle was operated by Regan Haran, age 24 of Rochester while the motorcycle was operated by Dale Bogardus, age 59, from the Town of Ontario.
It is alleged that the motorcycle Bogardus was operating, collided with the rear end of Haran’s vehicle.
Haran and a passenger were uninjured during the collision while Bogardus was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital via ambulance, where he later succumbed to his injuries sustained in the collision. The investigation into the cause of this collision is ongoing.
Deputies were assisted at the scene with the investigation by Ontario Fire Department, Wayne County Medic, and EMS.
