/ by WayneTimes.com

WILLIAMSON: Larry C. Fisher passed away peacefully on November 19, 2024 surrounded by his loving family at age 83.

Born July 19, 1941, son of Emerson and Margaret Fisher, Larry graduated from Williamson Central School District, Class of 1959.

Larry started his professional career working for Exact Weight Scale Co. He was later recruited by Kodak in 1965 to work in the Scales Division.  Larry ultimately became a Project Manager in the Shops Division where he worked until his retirement in 1991.

Retirement from Kodak allowed Larry to farm his property, Harvest Meadow Farms. He also began a successful second career as a Real Estate Broker, associated with ERA, The Property Shop, Nothnagle and finally Howard Hanna.

Larry was very involved in many organizations in town including the Williamson Planning Board, Treasurer of the Lakeview Cemetery, former Master of Pultneyville Masonic Lodge #159 and a member of the Pultneyville United Methodist Church for 57 years.  Many have heard his booming voice over the microphone as the PUMC auctioneer, coaxing bidders under the tent during Pultneyville Homecoming.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Jane M. Fisher, daughter Jennifer (James) Ryan, son Todd (Hilda) Fisher, grandchildren Jonathan and Emelie Ryan.

Larry was a warm and loving person who will be missed by so many in his community.

Calling hours will be held (Monday) November 25, 2024 from 5pm - 7pm at Young Funeral Home in Williamson, NY.  A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at the Pultneyville United Methodist Church (Tuesday) November 26, 2024 at 11am.  A private family interment will take place at Lake View Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Larry’s memory can be made to the Pultneyville United Methodist Church or Williamson Volunteer Ambulance Service.
