PALMYRA: Died on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at the age of 97. Graveside services in East Newark Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.

Mary was born on July 12, 1927 in Clifton Springs, New York the daughter of Edgar and Beatrice Macomber Burke. She attended school in Manchester, NY. She was married to LeRoy “Roy” Aplin on August 8, 1952 in Newark, NY. Mary retired from Garlock in Palmyra after 50 years of service. Mary had been a very active and devoted member of the James R. Hickey American Legion Auxiliary for many years.

Mary is predeceased by her husband Roy; brother John W. Burke; sister Katherine VanGorder; brothers-in-law Earl Robinson and Eric VanGorder and sister-in-law Leona Scheetz. She is survived by her sister Beatrice Robinson; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
