NEWARK/WILLIAMSON: John was peacefully called to the Lord from the comfort of his home with Allyn and Koko by his side, Thursday, December 12, 2024, at age 83.

Predeceased by his beloved wife of 47 years, Gloria Becker, whose memory he cherished dearly; and his parents, Lorraine and John Becker.

Survived by his children: Peggy (Jerry) Miles of Moyock, NC, Sarah Lagos of Webster, NY,  Jon Becker of Cheyenne, WY, and Allyn Becker of Newark, NY; 5 grandchildren: Chad Miles, Mark Miles, Emily Becker, Isabella Raine Lagos, and Taegen Becker; 3 great grandchildren: Caroline, Nash, and Shiloh; siblings: Dorothy (Robert) Pigott, Barbara Bobowski, Mary Clark, Judith Garvie Anderson and Larry (Linda) Becker; and in-laws, Nancy and Phil Profetta and Raymond Stone, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jack  was originally from Rochester, NY, graduated from Edison Tech School, proudly served in the United States Army, and was a retiree of Kodak.  John was a beloved member of the community, and he was known for his kindness, generosity and compassion.  His contribution to the community was meaningful, blessing us with over 30 years of volunteer service with the Williamson Volunteer Ambulance Corp, Fairville Fire Department, and a lifelong member of the Williamson American Legion Post 394.

His family will receive friends on (Monday) December 16, 2024 from 5-7pm at Young Funeral Home, 4025 Ridge Road, Williamson, NY. Friends are invited to meet the family on (Tuesday) December 17, 2024 at 10am at St. Mary’s of the Lake, Ontario, NY for his funeral mass.  Interment in Webster Rural Cemetery.
