NEWARK - Estelita Benitez, 99, of Newark, NY, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026.

Born and raised in La Ceiba, Honduras, Estelita brought warmth, strength, and devotion to her family throughout her long and wonderful life. 

She is survived by three of her loving children, Vilma Bueso, Luis Acosta (Laura), and Norma Heym; along with many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Augustine Benitez, and her son, Oscar Acosta Sr. 

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Schulz-Pusateri Funeral Home located at 103 Maple Ct. Newark, NY 14513. A Spanish service will be held immediately following the calling hours at 6:00 PM.
