Wolcott: Louise Bush, 97, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026 at the Sodus Nursing Home. 

Louise was born on November 15, 1928, in Pinehurst, NC, the daughter of Reece and Edna (Porter) Moody. She graduated from Waterloo High School in 1947 and married Robert that fall. She and her husband lived in Huron NY, where they raised their family and ran a small farm. Over the years Louise worked at several jobs before retiring from Newark DDSO., where she served as a dedicated caregiver.  She enjoyed gardening, baking, quilting and crafts. She baled hay for other farms and always kept an eye out for her neighbors.  She played a large role in the lives of her grandchildren and doted on her great grandchildren. 

Louise is survived by her husband of 78 years, Robert; her daughters, Cindy (Barry) Blake and Karen Netherton; her son, Chuck (Brenda) Bush; seven grandchildren; thirteen greatgrandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Robert “Dick” Moody.

There will be no calling hours or funeral service. A celebration of Louise’s life will be held in the summer.

The family has entrusted Norton Funeral Home with these arrangements.
