SODUS: Trudy Carter 90, went back to her Lord on Friday, January 17, 2025. 

Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, January 25 from 2 – 3 PM at the Church of God, 6055 Buerman Road, Sodus.  A funeral service will follow, at the church, at 3 PM. Burial will be in the Spring in the Huron Evergreen Cemetery. 

Trudy was born on December 16, 1934 in Williston, SC to the late Lang and Annie Lou (Minor) Carter.  She was a graduate of the White Pond School in SC and the Brooklyn Beauty Culture School.  She drove bus for the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) in Long Island and owned and operated her own beauty salon. 

She enjoyed serving the Lord (Usher President), cooking, gardening, decorating, driving bus and owning her own business. 

Trudy is survived by her daughter Joan Jones; her sons Kevin Key and Tremont Walker; grandchildren Nakia and Jonathon Morris and Timothy and Chenda Jones and Jayda, Sean, Shaquan, Antwan, and Kaiden McGough and Jermaine and Nikki Robinson, and Donoven, Michael and Kye Fitzgerald and Quantavius Walker.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Annie Morris; her son Herman Key; a sister Amy Carter; brothers James, John, O’Neal, Ryson and Marion Carter.
