MARION: Age 89, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Rochester General Hospital. Per Bob’s request there will be no calling hours.  A Celebration of Life will be held on July 20, 2026. 

Bob was born on July 20, 1936 in Waterloo, NY, the son of Warren Cottrell and Nora Green Cottrell Duprey. He graduated from Waterloo Central School. He married Mildred Juliano on October 6, 1956 and worked at Xerox in Webster, NY for 30+ years. He was an avid horseman from his teenage years on. He excelled riding in various equestrian game shows and pleasure classes. He also learned how to be a farrier. In recent years, he spend his time at coffee shops visiting with friends. Bob & Millie’s second home was in Hector, NY where they went frequently. Numerous family parties were held there and Bob rode many trail miles. 

Bob is survived by his sons, Robert Jr. (Karen), Jeffrey (Linda), daughter Mary (Tim) Jones, grandchildren Jeremy (Krishna) Rogiers, Jean (Anthony Wehner) Rogiers, Chad (Jessica) Rogiers, Hannah (Wesley) Britt, Johanna Cottrell; great grandchildren Tim, Brantley, Anthony Jr., Rose Mary, Olivia, McKenzie, Riley, Bryar, Abigail and Seannah, sister, Linda (Joe) Mott,  brother Duanne Cottrell, brothers-in-law Bill Jensen and Ralph Fletcher, many nieces and nephews. Bob is also survived by his special friend Jessica Williams and her family. Bob is predeceased by his father and mother, brothers Richard (Janet), Sam, Donald, Gerald, sisters Janice Jensen, Janet (Bob) Sheehan and Barbara, sister-in-law Hattie Cottrell.
