MARION: Gerald “Gerry” Decker born on November 14, 1933, entered into rest on January 11, 2025 at the age of 91. Gerald is predeceased by his parents, John and Lavina Decker; and cousin, James Hartnagel. Survived by his cousins, Elaine Hartnagel, Gary (Sandie) Decker,

Gordon (Grace) Boyer; longtime neighbors and close friends: The Williams Family.

Gerald was a lifelong resident of Marion, NY and a 1952 graduate of Marion Central School. He worked alongside his parents on the family farm until he changed careers and worked at Xerox for over thirty years. Gerald will be remembered for his boisterous voice, witty personality and love for a good joke. He was a dedicated NY Yankees and NY Giants fan. Gerald was an avid hunter and fisherman; partaking in many large hunts and fishing excursions including trips to Alaska, Wyoming, Alberta Canada, and the Caribbean.

There will be no prior calling hours. Friends and family are invited to a graveside service 11 am, Saturday January 25, 2025 at the Fairville Cemetery, 3100 Maple Ridge Road, Fairville, New York.
