ONTARIO: With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Bill Domm, of Ontario, NY. Bill passed on Saturday, December 13, surrounded in love by his family. He is mourned by his wife of 47 years, Nancy Thompson Domm, and his three children, Allison Horan (Bill Horan), William “BG” Domm (Crisy Sanfiippo), Ashley Domm, and his six grandchildren, Harris, Owain, William, Arabella, Madison, and Aiden. He is also survived by his three sisters, Sandra Martin (Alex Martin), Susan Domm, and Mary Ann “Penny” Domm, several nieces and nephews, and extended family members. He is predeceased by his brother, John “Jack” Domm and his parents Bill Domm Jr. and Mary Ann Carlson.

Born in Anchorage, Alaska and raised in Naples, NY, Bill was a proud alumnus of Naples High School. As a graduate of Houghton College, followed by a master’s degree at Ithaca College, he became a music teacher at Greenwood and Jasper-Troupsburg Central Schools before settling in Ontario, NY where he held administrative positions at Wayne Central School District before rising to Assistant Superintendent for Business and Personnel at West Irondequoit Central School District.

A community servant his entire career, Bill served as Executive Director for the New York State Association of School Personnel Administrators. He was dedicated to the Ontario-Walworth Rotary Club, serving as president, treasurer, and a committed volunteer. Bill was known as a true friend and was always there, offering support, for family, friends, or community members in need. He was a musician and lover of music. He loved a good glass of bourbon, to relax with a nice cigar, and had a whip-smart dry sense of humor. Above all, he loved his family, and centered his children, grandchildren, and wife in all aspects of his life.

Family and friends may gather for visitation from 2-5 PM on Sunday, January 4 2026, at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1961 Ridge Rd., Ontario, NY 14519.  Bill’s Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, January 5, 2026, 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s of the Lake Church, 5823 Walworth Rd., Ontario, NY 14519.  Bill will be laid to rest in Furnaceville Cemetery.

Donations to Bill’s memory can be made to the Ontario-Walworth Rotary Club by mailing a check to PO BOX 4, Ontario, NY 14519 and to the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research by visiting their website at https://www.stopsarcoidosis.org/.
