LYONS: Mary Duemmel was born on September 14, 1945 in Rochester, New York, and passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025 at Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, New York at the age of 80.

Mary was predeceased by her father, Walter Duemmel, and her mother, Frances Ceacer-Duemmel. She found a true home with the Wiltsie family where she was not only lovingly cared for but deeply cherished as a beloved member of the family.

Mary was a wonderful woman with a joyful spirit and a genuine love for life. She especially enjoyed traveling and camping, going out to eat, and taking part in community activities alongside her friends. Her enthusiasm, warmth, and smile brought happiness to those around her.

Mary attended the day habilitation program at the ARC of Wayne where she formed many meaningful friendships with fellow participants and staff. She was truly loved there and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Calling hours will be held on January 14, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Boeheim-Pusateri Funeral Home at 77 William St, Lyons, New York with a service immediately following at 10:30 a.m.

Mary will be forever loved and remembered by the Wiltsie family and by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her joyful presence and kind heart will live on in the memories of many.
