Sodus: Rick E. Fowler passed away peacefully at his home Wednesday September 16, 2026, with his loving family by his side.

Friends and family are invited to call from 4:00-7:00pm on Friday October 2, 2026 at Norton Funeral Home, 45 W. Main Street Sodus, NY. A memorial service will take place at 11:00am, Saturday October 3, 2026 at Alton Community Cobblestone Church, 8575 Ridge Road Alton, NY. A Celebration of Life will follow the service, at Wallington Fire Hall. 

Rick was born January 13, 1948, to the late Dorothy (Palmer) Fowler and Charles W. Fowler, in Lyons, NY. He graduated from Sodus Central High School, earned an Associate degree, and proceeded to be a Final Tester at Xerox Inc. 

Outside of work Rick enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, watching the Yankees, and Nascar races; but above all he loved spending time with his family. 

Rick is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Kathleen (Grosz) Fowler; son, Chad (Jennifer) Fowler; daughter, Casey (Mark) Labuzeta; grandchildren, Andrew, Avery, Greyson, Cameron; sister-in-law, Lori (Tom) Thurston; sister-in-law, Marcia Fowler; good friends, Roland and Betty Collins; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is predeceased by brother, Fred Fowler; sisters, Peggy Waite, Shirley Dehond, and Patrica Stuber.
