CLYDE: Patricia Fox, 91, of Clyde, NY passed away November 20, 2024, at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Clyde, daughter of the late James Salerno, and the late Florence Carr Salerno-Munson. Patricia was the granddaughter of Santo D. Salerno, the first Italian to settle in Clyde, NY in 1882. Prior to retirement, she was employed as a caregiver of people with special needs for New York State. Mom was the most wonderful mother and grandmother. Every gathering at Mom’s was filled with the happiness she radiated, and holidays were especially joyful times for all at Grandma Fox’s house. Those special family filled occasions will continue to be wonderfully cherished memories for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mom taught us by her example to always offer kindness, compassion and respect to others whether they were family members or strangers. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Leon M. Fox, son-in-law, Stephen Quartaro, nephew, Steven Behm, brothers Vincent Salerno, Joseph Salerno, Alfred Munson. Sisters-in-law Mahota Salerno, Wilma Salerno, brothers-in-law, George Behm and Joseph Foro.
Survived by her daughters, Debra Fox-Quartaro (Rick Geiger) of Rochester, Kathy Fox-Groat (Steve Groat) of Clyde, Lynne (Terry Clarqc) Leja of Parish, sons, John (Beverly Finch) Fox of Rose, and David (Stacey) Fox of North Sisters Joanne Behm of Wolcott, and Nancy Foro of Wolcott, grandchildren Anthony Quartaro, Eric Quartaro, Holly Vincent, Nicole Pickett, Jacob Fox, Ryan Groat, Jason Groat, Evan Groat, Jaymes Groat, Kyle Groat, Emberlin Leja and Kind Leja. Great grandchildren Benjamin, Alexa, Amelia, Graham, Natalie, Leo, Lucille, and Connor, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mom was so loved by so many and will be terribly missed.
Calling will be Monday, Nov. 25, 4:00 PM- 7:00 PM at the Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, 5025 Main St. North Rose, A funeral service will take place Tuesday at the funeral home at 11 AM. Our family wants to express our heartfelt thanks to our home aides and nurses, and to Rochester Regional Health Hospice Care for their wonderful compassionate care of Mom.
