NORTH ROSE: Leon A. Frazer Sr., 89, of North Rose, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side, Saturday, December 20, 2025. He was born at home in North Rose, January 19, 1936, son of the late Arthur Frazer and the late Carolyn Converse Frazer. He was a farmer and then went to work for the NYS Canal Corp as chief lock operator in Lyons. He was a life member of the Rose Fire Department. Leon loved spending time with his family, which meant everything and grandchildren, who were his whole world, and also enjoyed carpentry, wood working, wintering in Florida, while also spending many vacations with loved ones at their timeshare and watching movies at home.
He is predeceased by his wife, Loraine Griswold Frazer, sons, Leon A. "Butch" Frazer, Larry Charles Frazer, sister-in-law, Sarah Ann Frazer, brother-in-law, Glen "Red" Griswold.
Survived by his daughter, Lorinda Frazer of Wolcott, brothers, Donald (Fidella) Frazer of North Rose, Harold Frazer of North Rose, Carl Frazer of North Rose, and Barry (Judy) Frazer of North Rose, sister in law, Lillian Griswold, grandchildren, Adam (Sara) Carney, Ashley (CJ) Krul, great grandchildren, Landon, Kennedy, Gillian, and Lucas, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, December 27, 10:00-12:00 with a funeral service at 12:00 at the Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, North Rose.
