SAVANNAH: Lila Gay, 95, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024, at Wayne County Nursing Home in Lyons, New York. Born on December 30, 1928, in Auburn, NY, she was the beloved daughter of Viola Clark and Ralph Vreeland.
Friends and family are invited to call, Saturday, December 7, 2024, 9:00am – 11:30am with a funeral service to immediately follow at 11:30am, at the Freedom of Life Church, 3483 NY-89, South Butler, where Lila dedicated a lot of her time to God. A private burial will be in Butler Savannah Cemetery.
Lila is survived by her son; Allen R. (Roberta Stahl) Gay. Her grandchildren Perry (Moriah Skinner) Gay, Malinda Riley and 4 great children Hayley & Cadence Gay and Hannah & Nolan Riley.
After graduating high school, Lila dedicated her life to being a homemaker. Lila took her responsibilities as a housewife very serious and also worked part time at a grocery store. Lila was also a devoted Christian, she believed in the word of God and let that show in her day to day life. Lila sang in the choir at the Freedom of Life Church, where she also volunteered for food drives and as a greeter for Sunday service or other events.
Her absence will forever be missed by her friends and family.
