NEWARK: Michele K. Harper, 65, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Newark Wayne Community Hospital.  

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 E. Miller Street, Newark, NY 14513. Burial will be in East Newark Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or to the Wayne County Humane Society, 1475 County House Rd., Lyons, NY 14489.

Michele was born in Clifton Springs, New York on April 11, 1959, the daughter of Miguel and Catherine O’Dell Camacho.  She was a graduate of Newark Senior High School, Class of 1978.  Michele was a huge Syracuse Orangeman Basketball Fan. An avid cross-sticher and crafter, she loved going to craftshows.  Her family and grandkids were most important to her. She loved baking with her grandkids.

Michele is survived by her husband Ronald Harper;  two children Nicole (Dan Moore) Kemble and Johnathan Celso;  five grandchildren; her extended family and friends.
