SODUS: Passed away on December 14, 2025. He was 91, born on March 26, 1934.

Predeceased by his wife of 70½ years, Cleall Johnson. Survived by his son, James (Susan) Johnson; daughter, Kathy Wessie; grandchildren, Kate (Greg) Andrukat, Jessica Johnson

(Andrew), Matthew (Erin) Kearns, Joelle (Ryan) Schnell; great-grandchildren, Stella, Lily, Jackson, Pierson, Mason and Miller;.

Sherwood was an avid farmer. He spent his lifetime growing vegetables on the muck land in Sodus, mainly potatoes and onions. He farmed with his brother and more recently with his son.

He continued to farm until he was 84. Even after that, he continued to maintain a yearly garden.

Sherwood was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was known for his work ethic, sense of humor, and strong faith. He will be greatly missed by his family and

friends.

There will be no prior calling hours, a Celebration of Life will be held 11AM, December 20th at the Faith Fellowship Church, 3757 Mill St., Marion. A reception will follow in the church gym.
