ONTARIO: Patti passed away suddenly, yet peacefully at her home on January 4, 2025 at age 78. Patti was born on February 25, 1946, to the late Andy and Edna Moore.  She was also predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Alan Johnstone; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald (Joyce) Johnstone, Rick Johnstone, Mary Fitch and Don Snyder.

Patti is survived by her daughter, Cassandra (Paul) Osborne; sons, Alan Johnstone, Jr. and Brent (Fang) Johnstone; grandchildren, Brittany (Sean) Gefell, Garrett (Caitlyn), Michaela (Ethan Northrop), and Sara Johnstone, and Li Hanyu; great grandchildren, Anndi and Easton Gefell; brothers and sisters in law, Dorothy Snyder, Richard (Mary) Johnstone, Sharon Bennett, and Jeanne Johnstone; many special cousins who were like siblings; she is also survived by many other family and dear friends.

Patti was a 1964 Wayne Central graduate and a proud resident of Ontario Center for 56 years.  She was known for driving fast, her family business, Andy’s Auto Parts, her perpetual garage sales, her pig and Santa collections, and spending time with her family, especially her great grannies, Anndi (7) and Easton (3). 

Family and friends may gather for visitation from 5-7 PM on Friday (January 17) at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1961 Ridge Rd., Ontario, NY 14519.  Patricia’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday (January 18), 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s of the Lake Church, 5823 Walworth Rd., Ontario, NY 14519. Interment in Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Patti may be directed to the church or to a children’s charity of choice.
