LYONS - Richard S. Kelley, 85 of Lyons, NY, passed away August 10, 2026. Family and friends may call from 10am-12pm Friday, August 14 at the Schulz-Pusateri Funeral Home at 103 Maple Ct in Newark. Graveside service will be at 1pm at the Oaks Corners Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Richard’s memory to the Wayne County Humane Society or the charity of your choice.

Richard was born December 3, 1940 to Sybil and Seymour Kelley in Lyons, NY. After high school graduation, Richard worked at Mobil Chemical Company. Richard worked several jobs at Mobil over the years, culminating as manager of thefilms testing lab. Richard worked at Mobil Chemical for over 30 years until he retired. He was an avid local historian and enjoyed buying, selling, and collecting antiques, historical bottles, and ephemera. He was a member and treasurer for the Wayne County Antique Dealers Association. He was also a member of the Genesee Valley Bottle Collectors Association, Wayne County Historical Society, Lyons Heritage Society, Phelps Community Historical Society, Newark/Arcadia Historical Society, the Federation of Historical Bottle Collectors, and an honorary member of the Hotchkiss Family Association. Richard was a serious collector of glass from the Clyde Glass Works and the H G Hotchkiss Peppermint Oil company.

Richard is survived by his daughter Melissa (Robin Granger) of Newark, NY; his daughter Janette (Rudy Schreider) of Centennial, CO; and his son Chris (Gabriella) of Bloomfield, NY;  seven grandchildren; and friends, Walt Tellier & Chris Davis.
