SAVANNAH: Robert H. Laird, 85, passed away at Rochester General Hospital, Sunday, November 3, 2024 with his family by his side.

 A celebration of Robert’s life will be at a time and place to be announced. 

The family requests memorial contributions be directed to Savannah Fire Department, 1770 State Route 89, Savannah, NY 13146. 

 Robert was born October 22, 1939 in Fillmore, NY the son of the late Lute and Lydia (Owens) Laird. He was a graduate of Waterloo High School. He was a self-employed salesman for the agriculture industry. He also worked for a time for Finger Lakes Tractor and was the developer of machinery and products used in farming. 

He loved to watch Fox News, and in his earlier years was a street drag racer, a welder/fabricator, worked on his own cars and heavy equipment. 

 Robert is survived by his son Robert, Jr, a brother, a niece, a nephew, several cousins and his dog Murphy.
