Lyons - Edward T Land, 74, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Family will greet friends from 11 a.m to 1 p.m on Tuesday, September 29th, 2026 at Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, 124 W Miller Street, Newark, NY 14513. Ed’s graveside service will immediately follow calling at South Lyons Cemetery

Ed was born the son of the late Edward J. and Antoinette (Pitinaro) Land on Tuesday, June 3, 1952, in Rochester, New York. He grew up in the Fairport area before enlisting in the National Guard, where he proudly served his country for six years.

Following his discharge, Ed began working for Lake Beverage in Rochester as a truck driver. He later worked for Vector, where he worked on bridges and hauled heavy equipment.

Even after retirement, Ed was never one to sit still. He enjoyed keeping busy and spent time plowing snow for New York State. An outdoorsman at heart, Ed loved hunting and fishing and took great pride in tending to the vegetables in his garden. Ed treasured the time he spent with his family and grandchildren.

Edward will be remembered by his wife of 55 years, Karen; children, Ed (Kimberly) Land and Barb (James) Blankenberg; grandchildren, Scott (Carla) Snyder, Mark (Destiny) Miller, Jimmy Blankenberg, Jordan (Jenn) Blankenberg; great grandchildren, Mason, Casey, Averee, Everett, Alisha, Scott Jr., Jaymee, Aaron, Mark III and Sam; siblings, William (Deb) Land, Sheila (James) Lutz, Ken (Chris) Langlois, and Jason Land; many nieces and nephews.
