NORTH ROSE: Verne G. Mills Jr., 70, of North Rose passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024. He was born in Newark, son of the late Verne Mills and the late Madeline (Evans) Mills. He loved being at his home in Florida, playing golf and socializing.  He was an apple farmer and owned and operated Mills Fruit Farm. 

He is predeceased by his three sisters, Linda Mills, Lois Loveless, and Mary Jane (Carl) Ellis and his best friend Jed .

Survived by his wife, Valerie Masters Mills, his best friend Bobby, daughters, Jeanne Urban of Georgia, Jessica (Clint) Rank of Newark, sons, Sean (Diamond) Mills of Red Creek, and David Urban of North Rose, Amanda Mills, grandchildren, Luciano, Isabella, Olivia, Tanner, Amalia, Johnathan, Connor, Thomas, Michael, Dakota (Mikayla), Gabby (Noah), Daisia, Richard, Jax, Karsyn, Leland, as well as several nieces, nephew and great grandchildren . 

A memorial service will be held privately at the convenience of the family, interment will be at Huron Evergreen. Arrangements are in care of the Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, North Rose.
