LYONS: Cornelia M. Muilwyk, 92, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 26, 2024.

 Friends and family are invited to a graveside service at 11 AM, on Tuesday, October 11, 2024, at Elmwood Cemetery in Lyons.

Memorials in her name may be made to Meals on Wheels, 165 E. Union Street, Newark, New York 14513.

 Cornelia was born in Sodus, NY, on May 28, 1932, the daughter of the late Abram and Dina Almekinder Nevelizer.  She was a Registered Nurse at several places over the years, retiring from the Wayne County Nursing Home as a Nursing Supervisor.  For many years, she was the organist at the Grace Bible Presbyterian Church in Sodus Center.  She enjoyed gardening and traveling with her husband Marinus.   

Connie will be sadly missed by her children, Diane (Craig) Muilwyk Clemons, Eddy (Jackie) Muilwyk, Patty (Rick) Bell, and Chrissy (Mike Burt) Checho; grandchildren, Melissa, Jackie, Lee Hodges, Jesse, Lauren, Gareth, Mitchell, and Cassidy; several great grandchildren;  a sister Kathleen Muilwyk; a brother James Nevelizer,  a sister-in-law Peggy Nevelizer She was predeceased by her husband Marinus on August 13, 2024; two sisters Susanna (Carmen) Peer, Mary (James) Mortimer; a brother Abram Nevelizer; a sister-in-law Nancy Nevelizer.
